Thankful!

Well, we had an interesting evening on Superbowl Sunday. Instead of going to a Superbowl party (must admit, we are not invited to such shin-digs. Are we that anti-social, or is it because we have kids?) Anyways, we didn't have church, so we went to Tim's parents' house to help them set up a new computer they just purchased for buisness needs. The snow was supposed to start around 10 PM so we didn't think we'd have any problems. It started snowing just as we left. We were in Winnebago for about 2 hours and got 5 inches!

On the way home we were following tracks in the road because there had not been any snow plows out. Well, the tracks went on the rumble strips and Tim must have adjusted just so that it put us in a spin. I am so thankful to the Lord that there were no other cars on the road. We spun two or three times and ended up in the center median ditch. we could have ended up in the Rock River or down a very steep incline. It was amazing how the Lord protected us.

Natalie, who at this point was up far past bedtime, said, "uh oh, fall down, doink!" She was really good, but kept repeating that over and over. We had the portable DVD player in the car so we popped in a Barney DVD and she was great. We waited an hour for the tow truck, got pulled out, and made it safely home. The van and we are all fine. We are thankful for the protection.

I am putting in some pictures of Natalie playing dress up. Also, I'm including some pictures of our nearly 12 inches of snow, specifically for my Guamanian friend Janna - see what you're missing on your beaches? It's been a winter for the record books, that's for sure! Enjoy the pics!

Better Tim than me doing all that shoveling! Our storm missed us - we got maybe an inch, but that's OK by me!
