Please Pray

Megan is still jaundice, so we've been having to go daily for blood draws until it starts going down. Her poor little heel has so many poke marks on it, and I am exhausted because I cannot rest in the mornings because of blood draws, nor in the afternoons because of other appointments. Please pray that her biliruben levels will go down (that's the chemical they test when testing for Jaundice) so that we can stop getting daily blood draws.

Oh my goodness Nicole...I know what you mean about not being able to rest in the morning. That's when I would have to take Isaac to the hospital for his heel pricks also. And I'm sure you need more rest since you're recovering from surgery. I'm so sorry...for you and poor little Megan! I remember being so exhausted and worn out from those daily hospital trips! Did they say anything about sending a bili-blanket to your house? Did Natalie have to be on one after she came home from the NICU?

No, Natalie's bili levels were monitored daily, but they started going down before she got released. Megan's aren't dangerous yet, but he did say we would start with home treatment if needed. I'm just praying they will go down on their own. It's annoying too because I'm not allowed to drive yet, so I am getting driven back and forth by my parents, which is inconvenient.
