Appointment Today

Well, I had an appointment today. The baby is still breech (actually laying sideways). That means c-section. It has not yet been scheduled yet, but will probably be scheduled for next Tuesday or Wednesday. He would not do anything before that, because I am not 39 weeks. Everything else looks good. She's still big, but that's no surprise. I'll post more 3d pics later - you can see that she has fat cheeks! He said that I would only be on serious restrictions (i.e. no driving) for 1 week after surgery, so that made me feel better. My parents will be able to come for a while to help with Natalie so that will be a blessing.

I am not scared, but I do wish that it was sooner. I am so uncomfortable! That wouldn't be so bad, but Natalie doesn't understand and wants my attention all of the time, so it is difficult to get rest. I am very thankful to have carried the baby to term, but I can't help wanting it over.

There is, of course, the chance that she will flip between now and then. If that happens they will probably induce me early because of her size, but not until I reach 39 weeks. So that's what's new.

I'll be praying for you in the last week or so! Hopefully the baby will flip and you can be induced and not have to have surgery! But, God knows what is best!!!

Good, I'm glad it is not a six week no driving period like you someone told you. ONE MORE WEEK!!! You can do it!!!! Your in my prayers!

Christmas Miracle

Natalie was hamming it up for Tim the other night. Well, a lot has been going on in the past two months. About a month or so after the miscarriage, I was noticing something wasn't quite as it should be. I took a pregnancy test, and it came back positive. That was strange to me, because we were trying to prevent that as requested by the doctor. They called me in for blood work, and everything was indicating that I was pregnant. I was quite confused, as you can probably imagine. Two weeks ago we went in to have an ultrasound. That was eight weeks after the miscarriage. In that ultrasound they found what appeared to be a baby developing at 5 weeks gestation. We were quite perplexed, of course, because in our minds it should be about 8 weeks. The doctor asked us to come back today because at 7 weeks they should be able to see a heartbeat.
