Four Generations

Image
Here are the pictures from our photo session today. The kids were really tired after traveling yesterday and being up until 11:30, but they did fairly well. Some are a little goofy - Megan was not impressed with the people trying to get her to smile. Here are the pictures, even the bad ones :)

Heaven and Hell?

Natalie and I were having a conversation a couple of days ago. I never know what is going to come out of that kid's mouth! She was asking me about Jesus being our Savior (I do not recall the actual question). I told her that Jesus died on the cross for our sins. The conversation was as follows: N: What are sins? Mommy: Sins are the bad things that we do. When you disobey mommy or when mommy or daddy disobeys God it is sin. Everybody sins. N (interrupting): Sin makes God sad. Mommy: Yes, it does N: Sin - God takes you to heaven and locks you in jail for ever and ever and ever. I didn't correct her :)

Birthday Part Two

Yes, having two birthday parties for a three-year-old is excessive, but we just don't have enough room to have family and kid friends at the same party. Here are some highlights from Natalie's kid-friend party. She was not feeling the best and ended up with a fever later in the day, but she's been talking about it so she must have had a good time in spite of being a little under the weather.

Happy Birthday Natalie!

My little five pounder turned 3 today! She is getting to be so grown up! The things that come out of her mouth are just crazy. Lately, when we tell her "I love you," she will bend her head and say "Oh Shucks." Too funny. She is learning how to be a good big sister, loves to count, is learning her letters (not as well as I would like due to my lack of teaching), and LOVES LOVES LOVES animals. We recently "found" my My Little Ponies from childhood. She has several modern MLPs , but she is enamored completely with my old toys. We have been giving them "baths" and cleaning them all up for her to enjoy. I love seeing her play with the toys I loved so much as a child. If you want to see the pictures from her party, check out this link . Here is a picture from the day she was born and a picture at one year, a picture at two years, and one from her party.
