Pool Fun!

Image
Hi Everyone! Last year I bought a little wading pool for Natalie for a couple of dollars when the season was ending, thinking she could use it this year. I have finally gotten it out and she LOVED it! The pictures say it all! She stayed in the pool for 45 minutes! what one year old stays doing the same activity that long??? She was enjoying filling it up, and then of course, using it! She also was drinking the water! Enjoy the pictures and videos! Edited to add that I am SOOO excited! Tim and I got tickets to see Bill Cosby in Chicago in October! I didn't think we would be able to get tickets, because he is only going to be here for one day, but we did, and they were reasonably priced too. I can't believe we are actually going to see Bill Cosby in person! We are doing this to celebrate our fourth wedding anniversary, which was in June (yes, a little late, but we think it's worth it!) Filling the pool is fun! Baby in a swimsuit - enough said! Yes, I know I'm cute! H

Ramblings of a Writer's Mind

I have had two things on my mind in the last couple of days. The first has to do with something the Lord has been teaching me. As many of you who read my blog know, the church Tim and I go through recently went through some pretty major changes. Change is never easy, but this change has been particularly difficult for me as most of the people I considered good friends have decided to go to a different church. At the time when the changes first started, we were leaning that direction too, but since I worked there last year we could not do anything at that time. That gave us the chance to sit back, watch, and pray. We have seen tremendous growth in the people in our church. People have broken out of their comfort zones, changed their attitudes, and grown as a whole. As a result, we do not feel that now is the time to seek a new ministry. What makes this decision so hard for me is that now Natalie and a 10-year-old boy are the only children in the church. It breaks my heart to put her in

This is Only a Test

OK, I have been inspired by some friends' blogs I have found this week that put videos on them. I am trying my hand now. Let me know how I do! This is a little grainy because the lighting in the room is terrible. Also, I am sorry for starting to turn it verticle! I always forget that you can't do that when you have a video going! These are the animal sounds according to Natalie. She didn't do the lion one. And, in case you were wondering, the bunny says "hop hop" (and yes, you must hop up and down) Photo Sharing - Video Sharing - Share Photos - Free Video Hosting

A Day at the Park

Image
EDIT: For those of you who don't have a Blogger account, I changed my settings so you can post comments as an anonymous person. Sorry I didn't realize I had those setting before! On Saturday I was feeling a little stir crazy (sometimes it's rough having a hubby that works every day of the week). I decided to take Natalie somewhere new, so we went to Lockwood Park. It's a park around here that has a petting zoo and horses. She had so much fun! Every time she saw an animal eating, she would say, MMMM, MMMM. It was pretty cute. The goats came right up to her to eat cheerios. She thought that was pretty fun. There was a big cow statue there, and every time we passed it, she would say moo. I got some pictures of her playing on the baby-sized playground. She thougth she was pretty hot stuff, being able to climb up the playground steps all by herself. On a side note, I have learned something about myself. As most of you know, I work from home as a writer. I write content for t

This and That

We just enjoyed a visit from my friend Janna and her husband Jay who live in Guam. Here are some pics from that, as well as when Natalie was "helping" daddy hammer some shelves together. Enjoy!

Happy Fourth of July

We had a great trip to KC for the Fourth. The Fourth itself was pretty rough, because our tired baby was not enjoying the ride home. We went to the zoo while we were in KC, and Natalie loved it! There is a petting zoo with several over-zealous sheep, and I thought natalie would be afraid, but she loved them. When she wants the dogs to come by her, she pats her tummy and makes this funny sound. She did the same thing with the sheep! It was pretty cute. Enjoy the pictures! Fourth of July outfit Buying fireworks - they are legal where my parents live. She really liked the sheep, especially the one that licked her hand - can we say Purell!
